It stormed here last night something fierce. I managed to gather about 4 ounces of storm water this morning.

Also seen is one of my (almost used up) homemade candles cleansing the area, and a cutting board from OhmGrownHandmade.

I would just like to make sure that everyone knows that I meant no offense to anyone of any religion when answering an ask I got earlier. I made an honest mistake and my wording most definitely wasn’t the best. As I also mentioned in the ask, I am in no way an expert in religious matters.

Erasure is something I never meant to do, and for that I again offer my deepest apologies.

To the people who have messaged me or commented on or about that post, thank you for being respectful to me about it.

Hey I'm not trying to attack or anything, I just wanted to let you know that your statement that "pagan" refers to anything that falls outside of the "three Major Religions" is a bit misleading. I assume that you mean Christianity, Islam, and Judaism. If so, you should be aware that Hinduism, Buddhism, Native American/First Nations religions, and a whole bunch of other things are not considered "pagan" by the people of those religions. It's a common mistake to make and I made it when >

< I first started researching religions outside of Christianity. Again, I’m not trying to cause any trouble, I just wanted to let you know about that bit of subtlety because it’s so common to forget it.

Thank you for that! You’re absolutely right, and I meant no disrespect to anyone of any religion. I definitely should have made that a bit more clear when I answered the question.

Thank you for being respectful about it, as well. :)

Hello friend! I identify as a pagan, but still find your blog useful and insightful since I also practice witchcraft. But the whole catagorization of the craft confuses me. I am very much into the old ways, but Im also very eclectic. Im kind of confused as to how one would identify me since I like to stick to the old ways of norse paganism while also combining other elements from other forms of wicca.

Hello to you, too!

First off, I am NOT an expert on anything, so please don’t take it that way.

From my understanding, “pagan” is a blanket term for any religion or practice that falls outside of Christianity (or the three Major Religions). In that way, being a witch makes you a pagan, regardless of your religious affiliations.

Being a witch is NOT a religion, however. Wicca is a religion which incorporates witchcraft. (Any Wiccans out there care to chime in?)

Also from my understandings, seidr is a form of magic practiced during the Viking age by the Norse. Magic is very connected to being a heathen. (Freyja taught Odin the craft, there are seers, etc.)

And as for the classifications of the craft, I honestly don’t fall under any one practice. If I HAD to choose, though, I would say that I’m a kitchen witch. But I’m also drawn to nature and to the sea. So one may classify me as an eclectic witch. If you are referring to the photoset I reblogged last week, then I would definitely fall under the title of eclectic witch. There is nothing stopping you from pulling from any of these branches of witchcraft.

Hope this helps!

I worship Hel and Odin mainly in the Norse pantheon, and just started a sideblog for my more religious/pagan postings (the URL is wermwood)

Hey everyone, go follow elfturd and wermwood! :D

Lovely blog, my dear. Could you perhaps point out a couple of your favourite fellow heathen blogs?💜 Blessings

Hi, thank you! Sorry it’s taken so long to get back to you with this.

Some of my favorite heathen blogs are:

That’s just the ones I see regularly, and can remember off the top of my head.

Some of my other favorite pagan blogs are:

Hope you find some new blogs! <3

Okay! Finally getting on my computer tonight, so I’ll be able to answer the questions in my inbox. Thanks so much for putting up with me!

I have a couple of messages in my ask box, but I have to wait until I hop on the computer to answer them! I promise I’m not ignoring y’all!
